How it Works
Cooler, disinfected air naturally circulates downward.
The air is continuously being purified in the occupied room.
Pathogens are inactivated* when they are carried into the germicidal UV field by convection of currents of air.
Warmer air from respiration and other sources rise carrying bio-contamination (pathogens).
Germicidal UV field projects across the upper room air.
DNA and RNA of virus and bacteria are inactivated when are exposed to germicidal ultraviolet UVC at a wavelength of 254 nm. When inactivation occurs, the pathogen loses its ability to reproduce itself, quickly resulting in the elimination of colonies and thus reducing the disease-transmission significantly.

A POWERFUL UV GERMICIDAL LAMP
A top-quality 55 Watts low-pressure germicidal lamp provides highly effective UV-C irradiance at 254nm, which inactivates pathogens and thus purifies the air without the use of toxic chemicals. The unique outer glass tube absorbs the lower wavelengths, suppressing ozone formation and ensuring environmentally friendly sterilization.

When installed at 8 feet height or above, Clean AIR 1 surpasses all UV safety guidelines issued by the most recognized health institutions. AIR 1 outputs a TLV of 0 µW/cm2 at human eye level.
The safety guidelines for upper-room germicidal ultraviolet disinfection issued by the CDC, NIOSH, DHHS, and ACGIH require an average TLV (threshold limit value) for UV-C dose at an average human eye level of 0.2 µW/cm2.

Room Essentials' Requirements
AIR 1 needs to be installed at a height of 7 feet or above. At this minimum height, AIR 1 safely maintains the germicidal ultraviolet field on the upper area of the room.
Fans or HVAC ventilation are required to mix air in the room. Proper airflow optimizes AIR 1 disinfection rate as well as the circulation of purified cool air.
